What does God think about you & the life He gave you?

Some people just tend to wear us out more than others, have you ever noticed that?

I mean eventually, as a human, we grow weary. Tired of people, situations, and our surroundings.

We are a finicky bunch when you really think about it; we require stability to feel comfortable, yet we grow bored easily.

We have desires but after we achieve our goals, we are no longer satisfied.

We crave people in our lives who are different from ourselves, yet after a while we try to make them more like us. Relationships are hard because we start out wanting one thing and end up wanting another.

I know I have struggled personally in my life with these issues more times than I’d like to admit. It’s hard having a mirror held up to your face

I’m married to a man who is my polar opposite. For the biggest part of the time it works, until I want him to think and act like I would in a situation.

That’s human nature. We are really a mess sometimes. It’s hard, knowing all this about ourselves, to fathom what God was thinking in creating such a complex species.

I mean, if it was me, I wouldn’t have added so many features! I still haven’t figured out how to control most of mine yet!

Oh but God, He’s so proud of us. He loves us so very much. He is confident in us and believes that we are perfect.

He never grows weary of our needy behavior. He never gets tired of hearing the same story.

He loves when we talk to Him and ask Him things. He longs to shower us with His love and affection.

Too many times we think of God as we do ourselves, with limitations. God is not limited in any area. He never gets frustrated or impatient. He feels nothing but love and acceptance for us.

Of course, He wants us to love Him back the way He loves us, but He doesn’t need us to. He doesn’t need approval or praise but it thrills Him to no end when we do.

God doesn’t play mind games, there are no pre-nuptial type agreements or amendments to His will. We are joint heirs with Jesus, His son. We don’t deserve to be, but that’s the way He wants it.

The only thing He asks us is to love Him. And by doing that, love His son, and by doing that, love the rest of His creation.

If we can do tha,t He will shower us with love and eventually we can understand more and more of what He is thinking.

We are lucky to have the written word of God at easy reach. Anytime you want to know what He is thinking, you can pick it up and read it and find out. When you love someone you always want to know what they are thinking, right?

So, I encourage you today to make sure you don’t expect God to be as limited as we are; know that He is almighty.

Trust Him, and go to His word and find out what He really thinks about you and this life He gave you. You might be interested in what it has to say.

It might just change your whole life.
